Everybody needs others. For this reason we live in society.
SOCIAL STATUS is relative rank that an individual holds, with attendant rights, duties and lifestyle. Sometimes could be hierarchical (based upon honour or prestige).
-Assigned (ascribed) status is a position that a person holds in a social system that is either given by birth
-Achieved status is a sociological term denoting (oznaczający) a social position that a person can acquire (nabywać, osiągać) on the basis of merit (na podstawie osiągnięć, zasług). It is a position that is earned or chosen. It is the opposite of ascribed status.
SOCIAL ROLES is a presentation of some behaviours, rights, beliefs and norms.
NEEDS – is something that is necessary for our organism (body or mind) to live healthy life.
When these social needs are fulfilled, we feel a sense of well-being. When these needs are not met, it can cause suffering and despair.
